380 KV GIS HI POT TEST

HI POT TEST

1. WHILE APPLYING VOLTAGE IN ONE PHASE OTHER TWO PHASE SHOULD BE EARTH
2. 380 KV APPLIED VOLTAGE FOR NEW SYSTEM = IMPULSE VOLTAGE X 40 % X 80%

EXAMPLE : - FOR 380KV 1425KV X 0.4 X 0.8 = 515 KV

3. SECOND TIME = Un X 1.2 = 380KV =454 KV

4. MEASURE SECONDARY VOLTAGE IN FLUK MULTIMETER 187 DON'T USE OTHER MULTIMETER

5. IF NEAR BUS IS ALREADY CHARGED ONLY SWITCHING TEST IS DONE . MEANS NEW BUS AND EQUIPMENT IS CHARGED WITH RATED VOLTAGE AND MONITOR 24 HOURS.

Tips to test -1

1.While doing the Under voltage relay trip test increase the full voltage level and decrease slowly to get the correct results

2. While doing the Hand reset L/O relay pickup drop off test don't give the continuous voltage to the coil. Use MCB to on off. To get the pick up current put multimeter in "Fast max " range.
3.While test the CVT or VT connect the primary neutral with earth other vise result will be wrong.

1.There are two schedules

a. Laying schedule

b. Termination Schedule

2.Seperate the laying schedule in size vice for laying and gland calculations

3.Seperate the schedules in panel vice for termination and lug quantity

4.Compare the panel vice cable schedule with appropriate drawings

5.Keep at lest one spare core per cable.

6.Arange the following materials

a. Cable Jake

b. Cable rollers tools ext..

c. Cable cutter

d. White marker

e. Cello tape or masking tape and insulation tape

f. Aluminum ladder

g. Scrap cable sheath

h. Cable tie

THE DISMANTLED PANELS

HOW TO HANDOVER THE DISMANTLED PANELS TO SEC-EOA

1. Take the list of Dismantled materials

2. Go to SEC and meet the particular department foreman and inform him that the list of

Materials we are taken out from the substation.

3. If he says ok the go to facility maintenance get the Gate pass form ( Form dounload here)

4. The gate pass is in ARABIC and it should be fillip in Arabic.

5. Mention the vehicle name and number driver name and iqma number

6. Driver must have the SEC ID or other vice arrange the temporary access

7. Vehicle must have the gate entry sticker or otherwise arrange temporary access.

8. Get the signature from the foreman in the gate pass and go to ISPD LMPD.

9. Now bring out the materials from station

10. Dismantled all parts and segregate

11. Make MDR (Material disposal request ( Form download )

1.Fault current enter side should be CT P1



2.If 1 1/2 scheme CT's cover both breakers and connect the CT wires parallal and given to Relay.



3. Voltage is taken from line side VT only.



4.Give trip to 94 Electric Lock Out Relay and send the trip camand( DTTR) to other end through PSE.



5. 94 will Trip TC1 and TC2 of A805,A806 breackers and initiate BF.



6. 94 trip by the following commands.



a. 21 relay



b. 67 relay



c. DTTR from next end



d.PD trip from other end



No cammands BF from other end



9.Trip cammand send to othere end.
a. DTTR (21 relay)
b.Second stage PD trip from both breakers


c.Secound stage Breaker failure trip from both breakers.
